Dan Witz Collab Animation
Spring 2023
Using an artwork provided from the street artist Dan Witz, I added animation to bring to life his image. The meaning of the image centers on human trafficking. With the focus of the work being her covered eyes, I chose to animate eyes behind her, making them reflect the eyes of predators who take advantage of human trafficking victims. Though all these eyes are on her, the text at the end brings up how hidden these victims are to the wide public despite being a very large and serious issue.

My Concept
Upon research I learned about how rampant human trafficking is globally. Every year in just Nebraska alone there are 47 school girls trafficked, the number not factoring in those not in school and those unaccounted for. With my concept I knew there needed to be a statement on her covered eyes to encourage people to see the issue.
